About Anne

Anne Bierling, MA, MFT has been in the industry of helping families thrive for over 30 years.

A licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Anne is currently the Director of Parent Education in La Canada, CA. She began her love for impacting families during college when she spent a summer living and teaching in Kansas City’s most under-resourced community. It was there she gained a new understanding and admiration for those in under resourced areas and has had a passion for social justice and racial reconciliation ever since.

In 1989, Anne moved to Los Angeles where she was a high school teacher, counselor, and administrator for 7 years in Sylmar, CA.  In 1996, she began working as a family therapist at the Shepherd’s House Counseling Center which was considered one of the most respected trauma centers in LA at the time. While working at Shepherd’s House, Anne finished her 3,000 clinical hours and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).  She and colleagues also co-authored the Life Model which has been translated into 13 languages and was endorsed by author and USC professor Dr. Dallas Willard.

Since 2007, Anne has been the Director of LA’s popular LCPC Parent Education which offers classes for parents and grandparents of children birth through young adult. The program was featured in Outreach Magazine in January of 2017—and continues to grow and expand its impact on the community: lacanadapc.org/parented.

Anne and her husband, Randy, have been married over 30 years and have 3 grown children who have taught her the most about impacting families and have been the inspiring motivation of her life.
